F.A.Q.

Who can submit work?

What kind of writing are you after?

We are after any type of writing as long as it is horror based. This includes prose, poetry, blackout poetry, word art, short story, haiku, etc.

What kind of art are you after?

We like all kinds of art, from traditional drawing, illustration and painting, to digital, to collage and 3d art, costume and jewellry art (by way of photography), and photography. If it's not listed, and it's art - we'd love to hear from you.

What are the rules about NSFW content?

NSFW overt gore, body horror, and sexual content must be censored. A blurred effect is fine. If you’re unsure, you may leave it up to the editors who will be in touch to work with you on this issue.

Do I get paid?

This is a non-paying zine, and you don't have to pay to submit to it.  All profits (after printing/advertising/merch/etc) goes directly to charity.

You will however be receiving 2 physical copies and a digital copy of the finished anthology once out of print.

Merch/Publicity Token Info

If you'd like to make merch designs, eg, stickers, bookmarks, badges, postcards, you may do so by opting in on your Expression of Interest form. You may change your mind, just get in contact with us.

Creating merch is an unpaid task, but you will be credited in both the Kickstarter campaign, and in the anthology book itself. All profits raised from these extra merch items/publicity tokens, will go to charity.

Can I remain anonymous?

You certainly can - just mention on your Expression of Interest form, or get in contact any time you need.

What happens with our EOI forms?

Once the project is finished, you can opt in to stay on the record for future anthologies, or have your personal information destroyed. Your personal information will not be sold to 3rd parties, or shared outside of this zine.

What happens to my work after the zine anthology is published?

You have the right to take your work that was published in the zine and use it for your own personal work. We do not keep any copyright or right to your work apart from perhaps a second print run if the zine anthology is a success.

I can't keep my promise to contribute to the zine. What do I do?

Please let us know as soon as you're aware you cannot contribute to the zine for whatever reason. We would love to work with you to resolve any issues, and understand completely that life happens.

If you are an artist or writer that wishes to do more than one submission to cover for those who cannot contribute, please let us know either through the EOI or by contacting us directly.
